One on one tutoring is available in 30 minutes, 45 minutes, and one hour sessions. Individualized lesson plans are created and tailored to your child's needs. Whether your child needs help with one academic area, desires to get ahead (pre-teach) on material they will learn, needs a more challenging level than what is presented in school, help with homework, or to improve skills for organizational purposes and prioritizing homework, this is the program for you. Instruction is engaging and methodically creates based on the subject taught. The materials used are research based. One subject is covered per session. Tutoring is not only academic in nature; sometimes children need tools to help them be successful. These tools can be self-monitoring strategies, fidgets to help with focusing, redirection, various learning styles, mind breaks to refocus, etc. These tools and more are infused throughout each session, based on your child's needs and how they respond. Class is held in New Jersey.
Tutoring is available for the following subjects and ages: all subjects for preschool through fifth grade, middle school Language Arts and study skills, high school Language Arts and study skills , and college English and study skills. In addition to content based instruction, tutoring can also work on organization skills, prioritizing tasks, working on assignments, and strategies to prevent becoming overwhelmed with the tasks.
“Learning is better with your friends.” This is true for our small group tutoring. 2-3 students are needed to form a small group for this one hour service (you are required to form your own group). The participants should be similarly leveled and working on the same subject/content. Lesson plans will be created for each session. Small group tutoring will include direct instruction on specific skills/subjects, reinforcement of the skill, and students will be encouraged to work cooperatively to aid learning of peers. Class is held in New Jersey.
As trying to mesh multiple people's schedules can be difficult, one member is needed to schedule the time that works for all members of the group. The small group tutoring service will need to be completed via Zoom or at my home.

Homework Help is designed to help students and parents. Homework Help (HH) will take place in my home in Morris County, NJ. The purpose of Homework Help is to provide students with a solid one hour time block to work on their homework in a quiet environment, where completion of assignments is monitored by a teacher. Teaching and re-teaching of concepts related to individual homework assignments will also be provided to assist students with understanding the content of their homework. Students can also work cooperatively with others if they are working on the same concept to promote understanding and application of skills. Students should bring materials needed for homework (assignments, computer/iPad, homework, etc.) to allow for productivity during the hour.
Homework Help groups will be small in size (maximum of 4 students) and will be grouped based on elementary, middle school, and high school level to allow students to learn in an age-appropriate environment. Class is held in New Jersey.
